THE KINGS TABLE - II Samuel Chapter 9 tells the story of King David and Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan. In spite of his disability, Mephibosheth ate at the King’s table, as all the sons of the King. The King’s Table is a weekly group for adults with special needs (anyone who faces physical, learning or mental disabilities) to learn of this wonderful life in Jesus through worship, prayer and biblical teaching. Class members can grow in Christ and serve the body of Christ to the best of their abilities. We believe the body of Christ is not complete unless all of it’s members are learning, growing and serving within the church. According to 1 Corinthians 12:22-23, the church is like a body, a whole body consisting of many parts, all parts are important to a healthy body. So join us in support of this group of adults who will be serving our church in wonderful ways. 1 Corinthians 12:22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable. This class will meet in the World Prayer Center, room 131 during the 11 a.m. Sunday Service. All are welcome, especially those with unique cognitive and developmental challenges.
